During this unique experience, hunters will adventure into the Salmon River wilderness on horseback or on foot to experience the and challenge of hunting Idaho’s Elk. Experience the stunning fall season in the Frank Church wilderness as you take on this adventure with our expert hunting guides. On either side of the hunt, relax with your fellow hunters, family, and friends with all the comforts that our lodge has to offer. Modern amenities, stunning views, and plenty of activities make this trip perfect for hunters and their family.

Our hunting season begins in September, during the heart of the rut, when the leaves start to turn and fall becomes palpable in the Salmon River mountains. Rifle hunts during the rut are hard to come by in Idaho. Our hunts provide a good mix of spot and stalk and calling. Not only is this a great time of year for elk hunting, it’s a rare opportunity to see the landscape in this stunning blanket of fall colors. Hunters, junior hunters and non-hunters alike will find plenty to enjoy on our beautiful property on the side of the river.

The first night will be spent at the lodge . The next morning, your expert guides will lead you into the mountains pack animals in tow. During the hunt, we will stay in comfortable wall tents complete with pads, cots, and sleeping bags provided by us. All meals are included in this hunt. The amount of time spent on horseback versus on foot will be up to you, your fitness level, and the type of experience you are looking for. While we do our best to put you in a position for success, we do not guarantee a kill. This is the perfect hunting trip for those who desire a unique and challenging experience in Idaho’s rugged wilderness.
